At the age of 5, I began spending my waking hours conducting mock trades for my favorite sport teams. From delving into the foundations of the salary cap to learning how restrictions varied across leagues, this led me to become our family’s household GM at the dinner table. While this underlying passion for sport permeated into my everyday life as I became immersed in baseball and basketball practices, my underlying desire to learn about league operations helped me cultivate a simultaneous interest for the world of finance.
Now as I position myself at the heart of both the sports and financial industry, I’m posed to make the most out of my degree at NYU’s Tisch Institute of Global Sport, exploring the intersection of these two dynamic worlds. Building upon my perspective as a lifelong fan, the realm of sports is far more intricate than what meets the eye. Whether it be analyzing market trends to craft key performance indicators or constructing investment strategies that streamline the efficiency of an organization, my ultimate passion lies in bridging the gap between sport and finance. As such, as I continue to gain a deeper understanding of the global sporting landscape, I’m excited to delve into the unique opportunities that both industries present – eager to learn from any experience that is available to me.
